5th of February : the festival’s programme of events is finalised

Normandie Impressionniste association held its general assembly on February the 5th, under the presidence of Pierre Bergé and in the presence of Laurent Fabius, vice president, Jérome Clément, president of the scientific council, Jacques Sylvain Klein, general commisioner of the festival and many political members of Lower and Upper Normandy.

More than 20 towns and district have recently joined the project, bringing up to fifty the number of local areas involved.

150 new projects proposed by associations, individuals and local communities were officially added to the programme of events, enriching and adding to the dynamism of the festival from both regions.

The festival’s major events were highlighted :

  • Festival’s prelude, early April, Museum in Giverny
  • Official unveiling ceremony, Saturday 5th June, during which all Normans will join up to paint a giant impressionist scenery…live!
  • Lucheons on the grass or Déjeuners sur L’herbe throughout Normandy on the 20th June
  • Impressionist Balls and Guinguettes on the 13th and 14th July
  • Heritage open days focus on impressionism on the 19th September
