Ensemble DE CAELIS Women's Voices A Cappella

Ensemble DE CAELIS Women's Voices A Cappella

Under the artistic direction of Laurence Brisset, the De Caelis ensemble specializes in the performance of medieval a cappella repertoire. Passionate about this little-known repertoire, the ensemble's interpretations are grounded in a deep knowledge of the sources, notations, and context of the works. De Caelis fosters unexpected encounters between masters of the past and those of today. With an insatiable curiosity, the ensemble infuses ancient works into a vibrant and creative process, highlighting their enduring modernity. The De Caelis ensemble is subsidized by the DRAC (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs) and supported by the Region and the Department of Orne. Its principal sponsors are Mécénat musical Société Générale and the Caisse des Dépôts. It also receives support from SPEDIDAM, ADAMI, Musique Nouvelle en Liberté, Odia Normandie, the Bureau Export, Sacem, and the Institut Français. He is the winner of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for singing and choral singing (2016)…
