THE ANGELS ON THE CEILING

The company Les Anges au Plafond was born from the meeting of Camille Trouvé and Brice Berthoud.
Since its creation in 2000, it has pursued a multidisciplinary project at the crossroads of the arts: theatre,
visual arts, movement arts, new magic, and music. This cross-disciplinary
approach is truly the driving force behind their research and contributes to establishing
puppetry as a vehicle for innovation and aesthetic renewal.
For over twenty years, they have been associate artists with major production companies,
such as the Maison de la Culture (National Stage) in Bourges, Malakoff (National Stage), the
Aubusson National Stage, the Maison des Arts du Léman (Subsidized Stage) in Thonon-les-Bains, and Le Bateau Feu (National Stage) in Dunkirk—strong and lasting collaborations
that have allowed them to reach audiences throughout France via a
wide-ranging network of distribution and partnerships. At the helm of the Centre Dramatique National de Normandie-Rouen since October 2021, Camille Trouvé and Brice Berthoud are developing a
vibrant and globally engaged theatre project, a collaborative, unifying, and generous space.
Under their leadership, the drama centre will become the epicenter of transdisciplinary theatre
, so that the stories and
aesthetics of tomorrow will emerge from the intersection of the arts on stage.
