What matters is that everyday objects, earthenware and porcelain, are transformed into raw materials to be polished. […] She has a weakness for earthenware and porcelain fragments and scraps. Her mismatched pieces, often deemed useless, once assembled, evoke themes dear to her; the foundations of her symbolic dream world and her life journey: the circus and the fairground, imaginary characters, the feminine. Each piece is a promise of creation, a future in perspective. With these broken, scattered pieces, she will build a new entity in search of balance. Ultimately, it is very encouraging and reassuring for her to realize that from the shattering can spring forth Brilliance and Harmony.
