How are the events of Normandie Impressionniste selected?
Normandie Impressionniste invites cultural and tourism partners to submit projects to develop the program. The projects are then selected by the scientific and artistic council based on the following criteria:
▶︎Develop an artistic and cultural project that responds to the theme and one of the axes of the 2026 edition
▶︎Have a real link with the contemporary Impressionist heritage
▶︎Offer a unique, innovative, relevant and original character in the choice of venue(s) for the presentation of the project, as well as in the methods of presentation to the public
▶︎Propose a creative mediation
▶︎Include proposals on the scale of the Normandy territory and reflecting its diversity
▶︎Propose possible touring within the Normandy territory and beyond
▶︎Have the capacity for national and international reach
▶︎Be anchored in the duration of the 2026 edition, from the opening date to the end of the festival (June-September) and in the Normandy territory
▶︎Submit a complete application.

The 2026 edition
This edition will celebrate the centenary of Claude Monet's death, honoring his universal legacy and his famous garden at Giverny. Through a rich program, the event will create a dialogue between his masterpieces and contemporary art, in harmony with light and color.
