Axelle Rioult

Axelle Rioult, born in 1964, graduated from the Caen School of Fine Arts and lives in Normandy. She doesn't consider herself a photographer; she is first and foremost an artist, using photography as a medium to elevate the experience of encountering a place or a subject. She patiently re-examines the mundane in an attempt to exhaust her senses. Her approach is intuitive; the lens and her body are the active tools of this journey, which is more about shifting perspectives than transforming reality.
