Composed of a multidisciplinary team of 64 people, Studio Drift designs experiential sculptures, installations and experiential performances.

Studio Drift was initiated by two Dutch artists, Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta, in 2007.
Studio Drift's work revolves around three main concepts: the transposition of natural processes into mechanical forms, the study of how groups interact, and the search for a balance between human innovation and the environment. Thus, their works are the result of meticulous observation of nature, whether it be the growth of plants, the flight of birds, or the movement of the wind. These observations are then translated into complex and poetic mechanical systems. Studio Drift's work invites the public to an immersive experience where technology becomes the vehicle for pure emotion.
And what about Impressionism, then?
Meadow, a hanging garden , is an immersive installation featuring mechanical flowers that open their luminous petals above the spectators of the Sainte-Croix des Pelletiers church.
The work evokes the world of Water Lilies : a vibrant field, without horizon, where the gaze gets lost and time seems suspended.
Like the Impressionist painters, Studio Drift no longer perceives nature as mere scenery, but as a living, powerful, and constantly evolving entity. This idea finds its extension in Meadow. Combining art and innovation, the installation becomes a garden of light and movement, a space where natural processes become vehicles for emotion, inviting visitors to fully immerse themselves in it.
