What are low carbon rates ?
With the support of Normandie Tourisme, the Normandy Region, ADEME, SNCF NOMAD Train and NOMAD Car, low-carbon rates are an innovative initiative deployed across the entire Normandy region to encourage tourists and residents to travel using sustainable means of transport. This measure is part of an overall scheme to favour responsible tourism.

Why this initiative ?
Favouring sustainable tourism is essential for our future! According to an ADEME report published in October 2021, 77% of CO2 emissions in the tourism and culture sector in France come from people travelling. Confronted by the challenges of climate change, it is vital to act to conserve the natural and cultural wealth of Normandy, which on average attracts 6 million tourists a year!

How to benefit from this offer ?
That’s easy! Make the most of a reduction of at least 10% by displaying a dated train ticket to a station in Normandy, a bus ticket or a photo of your bike (see conditions for availability on the partners’ sites).
