Joachim Pissarro, the art historian, exhibition curator and great-grandson of the impressionist painter Camille Pissarro, was appointed as the new President of GIP Normandie Impressionniste on 19th June, for the festival’s 5th edition.
Joachim Pissarro thus succeeds Laurence Piquet, president of GIP Normandie Impressionniste since 2021. A renowned specialist in impressionist and postimpressionist art, he will provide a unique perspective during his presidency. His remarkable career at once as a museum curator, art historian and writer guarantees the festival’s continuing excellence. He is particularly renowned for his important contributions to research into his great-grandfather, Camille Pissarro.
