An impressionist work from the MuMa’s collection will be interpreted by over a hundred and fifty students from the Jean Moulin junior high school in Le Havre. This enlarged interpretation will be produced in pixels on food-packaging boxes with the visual artist Claire le Breton, using the CARTON-PIXEL* system which has been specially designed for this purpose. The reference painting will be divided into several parts so that the end result will be made up of a juxtaposition of 4 to 6 enlarged sections.

The CARTON-PIXEL system will be installed in the school for several months. Made-to-measure frames will then be constructed so as to highlight this collective, colourful interpretation and display it initially in the school then at the MuMa.

* This system has been devised by the association ‘l minuscule’ as a ludic and sustainable way to reappropriate works in two dimensions.
