This route invites you to discover the Eure department as a family, from Lyons-la-Forêt to Giverny, via Les Andelys, through an adventure punctuated by events of the Normandy Impressionist Festival.
Go in search of works of art during a walk in Lyons-la-Forêt, stroll among the giant water lily sculptures in Les Andelys, and end your itinerary with a visit to an emblematic site of Impressionism: the House and Gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny.
Stage 1
To begin your day outdoors surrounded by art, discover a contemporary art trail in the picturesque streets of Lyons-la-Forêt: Les Jardins en dialogues – Art contemporain à Lyons-la-Forêt (Gardens in Dialogue – Contemporary Art in Lyons-la-Forêt). This project invites you to stroll through the village following the works of artists Tanja Smeets, Florian Mermin, and Rasmus Myrup, transforming a simple family outing into a surprising experience.

Stage 2
Located just a 20-minute drive from Lyons-la-Forêt, the village of Les Andelys offers a magnificent panorama of the Seine Valley, which you can admire from Château-Gaillard, the iconic fortress of Richard the Lionheart.
When visiting Les Andelys, head to the gardens of the Nicolas Poussin museum for a stroll among the aerial sculptures of the artist Daniela Capaccioli.
Stage 3
Just 30 minutes from Les Andelys, come and visit an iconic Impressionist site: Giverny and Claude Monet's house. It's also an opportunity to discover Daniel Buren in the garden of the Museum of Impressionisms.
