To close this 6th edition, the festival offered a final weekend celebrating Impressionism, under the banner of music, images and heritage.
At the Chapelle Corneille, the Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen, under the direction of Pierre Dumoussaud, presented a program dedicated to four composers of French musical modernity: Ropartz, Satie, Schmitt, and Ravel. Satie's Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes , followed by Ravel's Ma mère l'Oye , resonated in the chapel, accompanied by projections of photographs of Normandy taken by photographer Paul Rousteau. This visual creation engaged in a dialogue with this nuanced and evocative French music, where the Norman landscapes themselves became musical material.
