The festival thanks its sponsors and partners

As the 6th edition of Normandie Impressionniste comes to a close, the festival wishes to warmly thank all of its patrons and partners for their trust and support. From May 29 to September 27, 2026, Normandie Impressionniste brought together artists, institutions, businesses, associations, and local stakeholders around the theme "A Possible Garden," on the occasion of the centenary of Claude Monet's death.

This edition could not have taken place without the involvement of those who support the festival and contribute to the realization of its projects, their dissemination and their encounter with the public.

Sponsors committed to supporting the festival

  • ETRIA — Official sponsor of the festival, ETRIA supported several key events dedicated to contemporary Japanese art. Its support notably contributed to the evening event featuring "Wild Blossom" on the steps of Rouen Cathedral, the "Eternity in a Moment" at the Grand-Quevilly Rose Garden, and the presentation of Fog Tree #07031 , Honfleur" at the Jardin des Personnalités in Honfleur. The Rouen event drew over 10,000 people.
  • Caisse des Dépôts — As part of its “Architecture & Landscape” patronage program, the Caisse des Dépôts group notably supported the presentation of Fujiko Nakaya’s fog sculpture Fog Tree #07031, Honfleur, in the Jardin des Personnalités. This ephemeral artwork temporarily transformed the landscape and illustrated the dialogue between contemporary creation, landscape, and territories at the heart of the festival.
  • AXA — As a sponsor of this 6th edition, AXA supported a program dedicated to contemporary creation and presented throughout Normandy. Its support contributed to the festival's ambition to engage with a wide variety of venues (museums, monuments, gardens, public spaces, and heritage sites).
  • Sanef — With nearly 2,000 km of highways, Sanef supports the cultural and tourist appeal of the regions crossed by its network. Its sponsorship has supported Normandie Impressionniste 2026, notably through poster campaigns deployed in rest areas to raise awareness of the festival among network users.

ETRIA, the sponsorship of the Caisse des Dépôts group, AXA and Sanef have thus contributed to this edition by supporting projects and programming that bring contemporary creation, heritage, landscape and territories into dialogue.

A focus on the Japanese art scene

This 6th edition gave special prominence to the Japanese art scene, thanks to the support of ETRIA , Japan Airlines , and the Yoshino Gypsum Art Foundation . Two major figures of contemporary Japanese art were invited to Normandy: Mika Ninagawa and Fujiko Nakaya. From the Wild Blossom projection , presented on the façade of Rouen Cathedral, to the photographic exhibition Eternity in a Moment at the Grand-Quevilly Rose Garden, and the Fog Tree #07031 sculpture in Honfleur 's Jardin des Personnalités , their works transformed iconic locations, offering audiences new encounters between Impressionism and contemporary art.

This Japanese presence has strengthened exchanges between the French and Japanese art scenes, while showcasing the diversity of contemporary approaches to gardens, living things, and landscapes. It fully aligns with the festival's ambition to foster dialogue between the Normandy region and international artists and artistic scenes.

A focus on the Dutch art scene

The program also showcased the Dutch art scene, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in France and the Mondriaan Fund. Works by the DRIFT studio, Jacques Perconte, Diana Scherer, and Tanja Smeets were featured in various locations across Normandy, from DRIFT's installation Meadow , a hanging garden at the Sainte-Croix-des-Pelletiers church, to Tanja Smeets' plant sculptures in Lyons-la-Forêt, as well as works by Jacques Perconte in Rouen and at the Michel Ciry Museum, and Diana Scherer's work in Caen. These diverse approaches offer unique perspectives on the garden, living things, the landscape, and the relationship between nature and the built environment.
