Caroline Bouyer and Lise Duclaux
This year, on the occasion of the Normandy Impressionist Festival, the Caen Museum of Fine Arts is hosting two artists in residence: Caroline Bouyer and Lise Duclaux.
Caroline Bouyer is invited to offer her perspective on the museum's print collections. Drawing is central to her work, in constant dialogue with engraving, to create urban, natural, or dreamlike landscapes that explore memory.
Living things constitute the raw material of Lise Duclaux's work. Fascinated by the plant world and its "spontaneity that escapes us", she explores its intelligence, its capacity for adaptation and regeneration through different media.
