L'Armitière – Artistic Encounters

The close links between Claude Monet and the writers of his time, from Victor Hugo to Octave Mirbeau, inspire a dialogue between today's artists and authors to close the festival.

To mark the closing of Normandie Impressionniste, the L'Armitière bookstore is hosting a series of meetings dedicated to the garden, botany and the imaginaries of living things, echoing the centenary of Monet's death.

True to its mission as a place of transmission and sharing, it offers a program blending literature, arts and contemporary issues through meetings, readings and debates.

On the program:
– Tuesday, September 22 at 6 p.m.: meeting with Grégoire Bouillier (Le Syndrome de l'Orangerie, Flammarion, 2024)
– Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m.: discussion between Lionel Sabatté (painter, sculptor and illustrator) and Philippe Platel (general and artistic director of Normandie Impressionniste)
– Friday, September 25 at 6 p.m.: meeting with Charlotte Fauve, journalist and writer (Botaniste, 2019)
– Saturday, September 26 at 4 p.m.: book signing with Lila Hervé-Gruyer (writer and forager-cook)
