A hike in Impressionist Normandy with Enlarge Your Paris

2026 marks the centenary of Claude Monet's death. To mark the occasion, Enlarge Your Paris and Entente Axe Seine are offering ten hikes throughout the year to discover the Seine River in the footsteps of the painter — from Greater Paris to the sea.

Yerres, Oise, Vétheuil, Giverny, Rouen, Le Havre: these are just some of the landscapes that Monet crossed and immortalized, which can still be explored on foot, accessible to all by public transport from a train station.

Don't miss the Normandy Impressionist Festival program on the weekend of May 30th and 31st. On Saturday, a hike in Rouen concludes with a DJ set by Barbara Butch. On Sunday, the route heads to Giverny and Vernon, ending with a fireworks display.

Participation is free, limited to 100 places per hike.

Registration opens one month before each event on enlargeyourparis.fr.
